Burger Preparation

  1. 1

    Prepare the Beef Patties

In a large bowl, combine the ground beef with salt and black pepper. Mix well until fully combined, but do not overwork the meat.

  2. 2

    Shape the Patties

Divide the beef mixture into two equal portions and shape each portion into a patty, making a slight indentation in the center to help them cook evenly.

  3. 3

    Cook the Patties

Preheat a grill or skillet over medium-high heat. Cook the patties for about 4-5 minutes on each side, or to your desired level of doneness.

Assembling the Burger

  1. 4

    Toast the Buns

While the patties are cooking, slice the burger buns in half and toast them on the grill or in a toaster until golden brown.

  2. 5

    Prepare the Toppings

Wash the lettuce leaves and pat them dry. Slice the tomato into thick rounds and the raw onion into thin slices.

  3. 6

    Assemble the Burger

Spread mayonnaise on the bottom half of each toasted bun. Place a beef patty on top, followed by lettuce, tomato slices, and raw onion slices. Top with the other half of the bun.
