Burger Ingredients

Method

Cooking the Burger

  1. 1

    Prepare the Beef Patties

In a bowl, combine the ground beef with salt and black pepper. Form the mixture into two equal-sized patties.

  2. 2

    Cook the Bacon

In a skillet over medium heat, cook the applewood bacon until crispy, about 5-7 minutes. Remove and place on a paper towel to drain excess grease.

  3. 3

    Cook the Patties

In the same skillet, increase the heat to medium-high. Cook the beef patties for about 4-5 minutes on one side. Flip the patties.

  4. 4

    Add Cheese

Immediately place a slice of American cheese on each patty after flipping. Cook for an additional 3-4 minutes until the cheese is melted and the patties are cooked to your desired doneness.

Frying the Egg

  1. 5

    Fry the Egg

In the same skillet, after removing the cooked patties, add a tablespoon of butter. Once melted, crack the egg into the skillet and fry to your liking (sunny-side up or over-easy).

Assembling the Burger

  1. 6

    Toast the Buns

While the egg is frying, toast the burger buns in the same skillet until golden brown.

  2. 7

    Build the Burger

On the bottom half of each toasted bun, place the beef patty with melted cheese, followed by two slices of bacon, and top with the fried egg. Place the top half of the bun over the egg.

  3. 8

    Serve

Serve the Barnyard Burger immediately while hot, with your choice of sides.
