Garlic Mashed Potatoes

Method

Preparing the Steak

  1. 1

    Season the Ribeye

Rub the ribeye steaks with olive oil, salt, black pepper, garlic powder, and fresh rosemary. Ensure an even coating on both sides.

  2. 2

    Preheat the Grill

Preheat your grill to high heat, around 450°F (232°C).

  3. 3

    Grill the Steak

Place the seasoned ribeye steaks on the grill. Grill for 4-5 minutes on each side for medium-rare, or adjust timing based on your desired doneness.

  4. 4

    Rest the Steak

Remove the ribeye steaks from the grill and let them rest for 5 minutes before slicing.

Preparing the Garlic Mashed Potatoes

  1. 5

    Boil the Potatoes

Peel and cut the russet potatoes into quarters. Place them in a large pot of salted water and bring to a boil. Cook until tender, about 15-20 minutes.

  2. 6

    Add Garlic

During the last 5 minutes of boiling, add the garlic cloves to the pot to cook them alongside the potatoes.

  3. 7

    Drain and Mash

Once the potatoes and garlic are tender, drain them well. Return to the pot and add butter, heavy cream, salt, and black pepper. Mash until smooth and creamy.

  4. 8

    Serve

Transfer the garlic mashed potatoes to a serving dish and serve alongside the grilled ribeye steaks.
