Prepare the Glass
Rub the rim of a chilled glass with a lime wedge and dip it into salt to coat the rim.

Mix the Ingredients
In a shaker filled with ice, combine 2 oz of tequila, 1 oz of lime juice, and 1 oz of triple sec.

Shake
Seal the shaker and shake vigorously for about 15-20 seconds until well chilled.

Strain
Strain the mixture into the prepared glass over fresh ice or serve straight up without ice.

Garnish with a lime wedge on the rim of the glass.
