Fried Flounder Sandwich Ingredients

Method

Preparation Instructions

  1. 1

    Prepare the Breading

In a shallow bowl, combine flour, cornmeal, salt, and black pepper. Mix well.

  2. 2

    Prepare the Egg Wash

In another bowl, whisk together the egg and milk until well combined.

  3. 3

    Bread the Flounder

Dip each flounder fillet into the egg wash, allowing excess to drip off, then dredge in the flour-cornmeal mixture, ensuring an even coating.

  4. 4

    Fry the Flounder

In a large skillet, heat vegetable oil over medium-high heat. Once hot, carefully add the breaded flounder. Fry for about 4-5 minutes on each side, or until golden brown and cooked through. Remove and drain on paper towels.

  5. 5

    Assemble the Sandwich

On each burger bun, place a layer of lettuce, followed by the fried flounder, sliced tomato, and a generous dollop of tartar sauce. Top with the other half of the bun.
