Stuffed Shrimp
Method
Preparation and Cooking
- 1
Prepare the Filling
In a bowl, combine the cream cheese, chopped shrimp or crab meat, green onions, garlic powder, paprika, salt, and pepper. Mix until well blended.
- 2
Stuff the Shrimp
Take each shrimp and place a spoonful of the filling inside. Carefully wrap each stuffed shrimp with a bacon strip and secure it with a toothpick if necessary.
- 3
Heat the Oil
In a deep frying pan, heat oil over medium-high heat. Ensure there is enough oil to fully submerge the shrimp.
- 4
Fry the Shrimp
Once the oil is hot, carefully add the bacon-wrapped shrimp to the pan. Fry until the bacon is crispy and the shrimp are cooked through, about 4-5 minutes per side.
- 5
Drain and Serve
Remove the shrimp from the oil and drain on paper towels. Serve hot with red rice on the side.
