Crab Mixture

Method

Prepare the Crab Mixture

  1. 1

    Combine Ingredients

In a large mixing bowl, gently combine the lump crab meat, mayonnaise, Dijon mustard, lemon juice, Worcestershire sauce, Old Bay seasoning, salt, black pepper, and chopped green onions. Mix until well blended, being careful not to break up the crab meat too much.

  2. 2

    Add Cheese

Fold in the shredded cheddar cheese until evenly distributed throughout the crab mixture.

Prepare the Breadcrumb Topping

  1. 3

    Mix Breadcrumb Topping

In a separate bowl, mix together the melted butter, panko breadcrumbs, grated Parmesan cheese, paprika, and chopped fresh parsley until the breadcrumbs are well-coated and the mixture is crumbly.

Assemble and Bake

  1. 4

    Layer and Top

Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C). In a greased baking dish, spread the crab mixture evenly across the bottom. Top with the breadcrumb mixture, spreading it out to cover the crab evenly.

  2. 5

    Bake

Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes or until the top is golden brown and the edges are bubbly.

  3. 6

    Serve

Remove from the oven and let cool for a few minutes before serving. Enjoy your Maryland Lump Crab Gratin hot!
