Main Ingredients

Method

Preparation

  1. 1

    Preheat Oven

Preheat your oven to 325°F (163°C).

  2. 2

    Prepare Ham

Place the bone-in ham on a roasting rack inside a large roasting pan. Score the surface of the ham in a diamond pattern, being careful not to cut too deep into the meat.

Glaze Preparation

  1. 3

    Mix the Glaze

In a medium bowl, whisk together the maple syrup, honey, Dijon mustard, black pepper, ground cloves, and garlic powder until well combined.

Cooking

  1. 4

    Apply the Glaze

Brush half of the glaze mixture over the scored surface of the ham, making sure to get it into the diamond cuts.

  2. 5

    Bake the Ham

Cover the ham loosely with aluminum foil and bake in the preheated oven for 1.5 hours.

  3. 6

    Glaze Again

After 1.5 hours, remove the foil and brush the remaining glaze over the ham. Return to the oven, uncovered, and bake for an additional 30-45 minutes or until the ham is caramelized and heated through.

Serving

  1. 7

    Rest and Serve

Once done, remove the ham from the oven and let it rest for about 15 minutes before slicing. Serve warm.
