Wonton Filling
Method
Preparation and Cooking
- 1
Prepare the Filling
In a mixing bowl, combine ground chicken, chopped green onions, minced garlic, minced ginger, soy sauce, sesame oil, salt, and pepper. Mix well until all ingredients are thoroughly incorporated.
- 2
Assemble the Wontons
Place a wonton wrapper on a clean surface. Add about 1 tablespoon of the chicken filling to the center of the wrapper. Moisten the edges of the wrapper with water, fold it in half to form a triangle, and press to seal. Optionally, you can fold the corners of the triangle towards the center to create a roll shape.
- 3
Fry the Wontons
Heat oil in a deep frying pan over medium-high heat. Once the oil is hot, carefully add the wontons in batches, making sure not to overcrowd the pan. Fry for 3-4 minutes or until they are golden brown and crispy. Remove with a slotted spoon and drain on paper towels.
- 4
Serve
Serve the crispy wonton chicken rolls hot with your favorite dipping sauce.
