Method

Preparation of Fish

  1. 1

    Prepare the Fish Batter

In a bowl, mix flour, cornmeal, salt, black pepper, and paprika.

  2. 2

    Coat the Fish

In another bowl, whisk together the egg and milk. Dip the fish fillets into the egg mixture, then coat them with the flour mixture.

  3. 3

    Fry the Fish

In a deep frying pan, heat oil over medium-high heat. Once hot, carefully add the coated fish fillets and fry until golden brown on both sides, approximately 4-5 minutes per side. Remove and drain on paper towels.

Preparation of Sauce

  1. 4

    Mix the Sauce

In a small bowl, combine mayonnaise, sour cream, lime juice, and Sriracha sauce. Mix well and season with salt to taste.

Assembly

  1. 5

    Warm the Tortillas

In a dry skillet, warm the corn tortillas over medium heat for about 30 seconds per side until pliable.

  2. 6

    Assemble the Tacos

On each tortilla, place a portion of fried fish, top with shredded cabbage, a drizzle of sauce, and a sprinkle of fresh cilantro. Serve with lime wedges on the side.
