Beef Stir-Fry

Sides

Method

Preparing the Beef Stir-Fry

  1. 1

    Marinate the Beef

In a bowl, combine the sliced beef sirloin with soy sauce, red wine vinegar, and black pepper. Mix well and let it marinate for at least 15 minutes.

  2. 2

    Sauté the Garlic

Heat olive oil in a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat. Add whole garlic cloves and sauté until fragrant, about 1 minute. Remove garlic and discard.

  3. 3

    Cook the Beef

Add the marinated beef to the skillet. Stir-fry for about 5-7 minutes or until the beef is browned and cooked to desired doneness. Remove from skillet and set aside.

  4. 4

    Sauté Onions and Tomatoes

In the same skillet, add sliced red onion and cook until slightly softened, about 2-3 minutes. Then add chopped tomatoes and cook until they are soft, about 2-3 minutes more.

  5. 5

    Combine Ingredients

Return the cooked beef to the skillet with the onions and tomatoes. Stir everything together for another minute. Add chopped cilantro and mix well.

Cooking the Sides

  1. 6

    Cook the Rice

In a pot, add 1 cup of white rice and 2 cups of water. Bring to a boil, then reduce to low heat, cover, and simmer for about 18-20 minutes until the rice is cooked and water is absorbed. Fluff with a fork before serving.

  2. 7

    Prepare the French Fries

Cook the french fries according to package instructions (bake or fry) until golden and crispy.
