Method

Preparing the Dip

  1. 1

    Cook the Bacon

In a large skillet over medium heat, cook the bacon slices until crispy. Remove them from the skillet, crumble, and set aside. Leave about 1 tablespoon of bacon fat in the skillet.

  2. 2

    Sauté the Leeks

In the same skillet, add the olive oil and heat. Add the sliced leeks and minced garlic. Sauté for about 5-7 minutes until the leeks are soft and translucent.

  3. 3

    Combine Ingredients

In a mixing bowl, combine the sautéed leeks and garlic, crumbled bacon, cream cheese, sour cream, Parmesan cheese, salt, and black pepper. Mix until well combined.

  4. 4

    Bake the Dip

Transfer the mixture to a baking dish and bake in a preheated oven at 350°F (175°C) for about 20-25 minutes or until bubbly and golden on top.

Preparing the Pita

  1. 5

    Prepare the Pita

Brush the pita pieces with olive oil and sprinkle with garlic powder. Place them on a baking sheet.

  2. 6

    Bake the Pita

In the last 10 minutes of the dip baking time, add the pita to the oven and bake for about 5-7 minutes until golden and crispy.
