Burrata

Wood-Fired Pita

Method

Burrata Preparation

  1. 1

    Prepare the Burrata

Carefully open the package of fresh burrata cheese. If the burrata is packed in water, drain it gently and pat it dry with a paper towel. Place the burrata on a serving plate.

  2. 2

    Drizzle with Olive Oil

Drizzle the extra virgin olive oil over the burrata generously, allowing it to soak into the cheese.

  3. 3

    Garnish with Basil

Tear the fresh basil leaves and scatter them over the top of the burrata for garnish. Optionally, add a pinch of sea salt to enhance the flavors.

Wood-Fired Pita Preparation

  1. 4

    Preheat the Oven

Preheat your wood-fired oven to a high temperature (around 450°F to 500°F or 230°C to 260°C). If you don't have a wood-fired oven, you can use a regular oven or grill.

  2. 5

    Warm the Pita

Place the pita bread directly on the oven rack or grill for about 1-2 minutes, or until they puff up and get lightly charred. Keep an eye on them to prevent burning.

  3. 6

    Serve

Remove the warm pita from the oven and serve alongside the prepared burrata. Enjoy by tearing pieces of pita and dipping them into the creamy burrata.
