Preparation

  1. 1

    Cook the Pasta

In a large pot, bring salted water to a boil. Add spaghetti and cook according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside, reserving about 1/2 cup of pasta water.

Cooking

  1. 2

    Sauté the Shrimp

In a large skillet over medium heat, add olive oil and 2 tablespoons of butter. Once hot, add the minced garlic and sauté for about 1 minute until fragrant. Add the jumbo shrimp, season with salt and black pepper, and cook for 2-3 minutes on each side until they turn pink and opaque.

  2. 3

    Make the Sauce

Pour in the dry white wine and lemon juice, then add red pepper flakes. Bring to a simmer and let it reduce for about 3-5 minutes until slightly thickened.

  3. 4

    Combine Pasta and Sauce

Add the cooked spaghetti to the skillet with the shrimp and sauce. Toss well to combine, adding reserved pasta water a little at a time if necessary to achieve desired consistency. Stir in the remaining 2 tablespoons of butter until melted.

Serving

  1. 5

    Garnish and Serve

Remove from heat and sprinkle with chopped parsley. Serve immediately, garnished with lemon wedges on the side.
