Cooking Pasta

Boil Water
In a large pot, bring salted water to a boil over high heat.

Cook Rigatoni
Once the water is boiling, add the rigatoni and cook according to package directions until al dente, about 10-12 minutes.

Drain Pasta
Once cooked, drain the rigatoni in a colander and set aside.
Making Bolognese Sauce

Brown the Meat
Add the ground beef and sweet Italian sausage to the skillet. Cook, breaking it apart with a spoon, until browned, about 8-10 minutes.

Add Marinara and Seasonings
Stir in the marinara sauce, dried oregano, salt, and black pepper. Bring to a simmer.

Add Cream and Pesto
Reduce the heat to low and stir in the heavy cream and pesto. Allow to simmer for an additional 5 minutes, stirring occasionally.

Combine Sauce with Pasta
Add the drained rigatoni to the sauce and toss to coat evenly.

Serve with Cheese
Serve hot, topped with grated Grana Padano cheese.
