Prepare the Oysters

Shuck the Oysters
Using an oyster knife, carefully insert the blade into the hinge of the oyster. Twist the knife to open the shell, and slide the knife along the inside of the top shell to detach the meat. Remove the top shell and set the oysters on a platter, keeping them on the half shell.
Make the Cocktail Sauce

Combine Ingredients
In a small bowl, mix together the ketchup, horseradish, Worcestershire sauce, lemon juice, and hot sauce. Stir well until all ingredients are fully combined.
Serve

Plate the Oysters
Arrange the shucked oysters on a serving platter, and serve with the cocktail sauce on the side.

Provide Tabasco sauce and lemon wedges for guests to add to their oysters according to their taste.
