Method

Prepare the Ribs

  1. 1

    Preheat Oven

Preheat your oven to 300°F (150°C).

  2. 2

    Season the Ribs

Pat the baby back ribs dry with paper towels. Rub salt and black pepper evenly over both sides of the ribs.

  3. 3

    Wrap in Foil

Place the seasoned ribs on a large sheet of aluminum foil. Wrap them tightly, sealing the edges to keep moisture in.

  4. 4

    Bake the Ribs

Place the wrapped ribs on a baking sheet and bake in the preheated oven for 2.5 to 3 hours, until the meat is tender.

Make the Glaze

  1. 5

    Combine Ingredients

In a saucepan, combine soy sauce, honey, rice vinegar, sesame oil, minced garlic, grated ginger, and chili flakes.

  2. 6

    Simmer the Glaze

Bring the mixture to a simmer over medium heat. Cook for about 10-15 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the glaze thickens slightly.

Glaze and Finish

  1. 7

    Preheat Grill or Broiler

If using a grill, preheat it to medium-high heat. If using a broiler, set it to high.

  2. 8

    Remove Ribs from Oven

Once the ribs are done baking, carefully unwrap them from the foil, being cautious of steam.

  3. 9

    Glaze the Ribs

Brush the prepared glaze generously over the ribs, ensuring they are fully coated.

  4. 10

    Grill or Broil

Place the glazed ribs on the grill or under the broiler. Cook for about 5-10 minutes, turning occasionally and brushing with more glaze, until caramelized.

  5. 11

    Serve

Remove the ribs from the grill or broiler, let rest for a few minutes, then slice and serve garnished with chopped green onions.
