Method

For the Toasted Bread

  1. 1

    Prepare the Garlic Butter

Melt the unsalted butter in a small saucepan over low heat. Add minced garlic cloves and sauté until fragrant but not browned, about 2 minutes. Remove from heat.

  2. 2

    Prepare the Bread

Slice the Italian bread into 1-inch thick pieces. Brush each slice with the garlic butter and sprinkle with grated Parmesan cheese. Drizzle olive oil over the top of the slices.

  3. 3

    Toast the Bread

Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C). Arrange the slices on a baking sheet and toast in the oven for about 12-15 minutes, or until golden brown and crispy. Remove from oven and set aside.

For the Gorgonzola Fondue

  1. 4

    Combine Ingredients

In a medium saucepan, combine heavy cream and white wine. Heat over medium heat until simmering, stirring occasionally.

  2. 5

    Add Cheese

Once the mixture is simmering, reduce heat to low and gradually add the Gorgonzola cheese, stirring continuously until melted and smooth.

  3. 6

    Season the Fondue

Stir in garlic powder and freshly ground black pepper to taste. Keep the fondue warm on low heat until ready to serve.
