Soup Preparation

Add Garlic and Deglaze
Add minced garlic and cook for another 2 minutes until fragrant. Pour in the white wine to deglaze the pot, scraping the bottom to release any flavorful bits. Allow the wine to reduce by half.
- 3
Simmer the Soup
Add the beef broth, thyme, bay leaf, salt, and black pepper. Bring to a boil, then reduce the heat and let it simmer uncovered for about 30 minutes, allowing the flavors to meld.
Crostini Preparation
- 4
Prepare the Baguette
While the soup is simmering, preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Slice the baguette into 1/2-inch thick slices.
- 5
Toast the Baguette Slices
Brush both sides of the baguette slices with olive oil and sprinkle garlic powder on top. Arrange them on a baking sheet and toast in the oven for about 8-10 minutes, or until golden and crispy.
