Method

Crust Preparation

  1. 1

    Prepare the crust

Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). In a medium bowl, combine the graham cracker crumbs, granulated sugar, and melted butter. Mix until the crumbs are well coated with the butter.

  2. 2

    Form the crust

Press the mixture firmly into the bottom of a 9-inch springform pan to form an even layer. Bake for 8-10 minutes until set and slightly golden. Remove from the oven and let cool.

Filling Preparation

  1. 3

    Combine filling ingredients

In a large mixing bowl, beat the softened cream cheese with an electric mixer until smooth and creamy. Gradually add the granulated sugar and beat until well combined.

  2. 4

    Add remaining ingredients

Add the sour cream, vanilla extract, and flour to the mixture, mixing until fully incorporated. Lastly, add the eggs one at a time, mixing on low speed until just combined. Avoid overmixing.

  3. 5

    Bake the cheesecake

Pour the filling over the cooled crust in the springform pan. Bake in the preheated oven for 55-70 minutes, or until the edges are set but the center is slightly jiggly. Turn off the oven and leave the cheesecake inside for an additional hour.

  4. 6

    Cool and chill

Remove the cheesecake from the oven and let it cool at room temperature for about 1 hour. Then cover and refrigerate for at least 4 hours, or overnight for best flavor.
