Steak Tips

  1. 1

    Prepare the Steak

Cut the sirloin steak into bite-sized pieces, approximately 1-inch cubes.

  2. 2

    Marinate the Steak

In a bowl, mix together the olive oil, garlic powder, salt, and black pepper. Add the steak pieces and coat well. Let it marinate for at least 30 minutes.

  3. 3

    Cook the Steak

Preheat a grill or grill pan over medium-high heat. Grill the steak tips for about 8-10 minutes, turning occasionally, until they reach your desired level of doneness.

Mashed Potatoes

  1. 4

    Boil the Potatoes

Peel and cut the potatoes into quarters. Place them in a pot and cover with water. Bring to a boil and cook for 15-20 minutes or until tender.

  2. 5

    Mash the Potatoes

Drain the potatoes and return them to the pot. Add butter, milk, salt, and black pepper. Mash until smooth and creamy.

Vegetables

  1. 6

    Prepare the Vegetables

Wash and cut the broccoli into florets and slice the carrots into thin rounds.

  2. 7

    Sauté the Vegetables

In a skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add the broccoli and carrots, sprinkle with salt, and sauté for about 5-7 minutes until tender.

Bourbon BBQ Sauce

  1. 8

    Combine Ingredients

In a saucepan, combine bourbon, ketchup, brown sugar, apple cider vinegar, Worcestershire sauce, garlic powder, salt, and black pepper.

  2. 9

    Simmer the Sauce

Bring the mixture to a simmer over medium heat. Cook for 15-20 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the sauce thickens.

Crispy Onion Rings

  1. 10

    Prepare the Onion

Slice the onion into 1/4-inch thick rings and separate them into individual rings.

  2. 11

    Soak in Buttermilk

Place the onion rings in a bowl and cover with buttermilk. Let them soak for at least 30 minutes.

  3. 12

    Coat the Onion Rings

In a shallow dish, mix together flour, cornmeal, salt, and black pepper. Remove the onion rings from the buttermilk and dredge them in the flour mixture.

  4. 13

    Fry the Onion Rings

Heat oil in a deep pan over medium-high heat. Fry the onion rings in batches for about 3-4 minutes until golden brown. Remove and drain on paper towels.
