Method

Preparation of Chicken Wings

  1. 1

    Clean the Wings

Rinse the chicken wings under cold water and pat them dry with paper towels to remove excess moisture.

  2. 2

    Prepare the Marinade

In a large mixing bowl, combine olive oil, garlic powder, paprika, cayenne pepper, salt, black pepper, honey, soy sauce, and lemon juice. Mix well until all ingredients are fully incorporated.

  3. 3

    Marinate the Wings

Add the chicken wings to the marinade and toss them thoroughly to ensure all wings are evenly coated. Cover the bowl with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 1 hour, preferably overnight for better flavor.

Cooking the Wings

  1. 4

    Preheat the Oven or Grill

Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) or prepare your grill for medium-high heat.

  2. 5

    Arrange the Wings

Place the marinated chicken wings in a single layer on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper if using the oven, or directly on the grill grates.

  3. 6

    Cook the Wings

Bake in the preheated oven for 40-45 minutes, turning halfway through, until the wings are golden brown and crispy. If grilling, cook for about 20-25 minutes, turning occasionally, until cooked through and nicely charred.

  4. 7

    Check for Doneness

Ensure that the internal temperature of the chicken wings reaches 165°F (75°C) using a meat thermometer.

  5. 8

    Garnish and Serve

Once cooked, remove the wings from the oven or grill. Optionally, sprinkle with chopped fresh parsley and serve with celery and carrot sticks on the side.
