Prepare the Ingredients
Gather all the ingredients to ensure everything is ready for assembly. Drain the sauerkraut and set it aside.

Assemble the Sandwich
Lay out 2 slices of marble rye bread. On each slice, spread 1 tablespoon of Thousand Island dressing. Layer 4 oz of corned beef on one slice, followed by 1 cup of sauerkraut and 2 slices of Swiss cheese. Top with the second slice of bread, dressing side down.

Grill the Sandwich
In a skillet, melt 1 tablespoon of butter over medium heat. Place the assembled sandwich in the skillet and grill until the bread is golden brown, about 4-5 minutes. Flip the sandwich and add the remaining tablespoon of butter to the skillet. Grill the second side until golden brown and the cheese is melted, about another 4-5 minutes.

Slice and Serve
Remove the sandwich from the skillet and let it rest for a minute. Slice in half diagonally and serve with pickles on the side, if desired.
