Main Ingredients

Method

Preparation

  1. 1

    Muddle the Sugar

In an Old Fashioned glass, place the sugar cube and add the dashes of Angostura bitters on top. Use a muddler or the back of a spoon to crush the sugar cube and mix it with the bitters until it is dissolved.

  2. 2

    Add Bourbon

Pour the bourbon over the muddled sugar and bitters mixture in the glass.

  3. 3

    Add Ice

Fill the glass with ice cubes, allowing them to float on top of the bourbon.

  4. 4

    Garnish with Orange Twist

Using a vegetable peeler or a knife, cut a twist of orange peel. Express the oils over the drink by holding the peel over the glass and giving it a gentle squeeze, then drop it into the drink as a garnish.

  5. 5

    Stir and Serve

Give the drink a gentle stir to combine the flavors. Serve immediately and enjoy your Old Fashioned.
