Mojito Ingredients

Method

Mojito Directions

  1. 1

    Prepare the Glass

Take a tall glass and place it on a stable surface.

  2. 2

    Muddle the Mint

Add the fresh mint leaves to the glass. Use a muddler or the back of a spoon to gently press down on the leaves to release their essential oils. Be careful not to shred the leaves; just bruise them lightly.

  3. 3

    Add Lime Juice

Cut the lime in half, and juice one half directly into the glass. Take the other half and cut it into wedges, then add the wedges to the glass along with the mint.

  4. 4

    Mix in Simple Syrup

Pour the simple syrup over the muddled mint and lime in the glass. This will help to sweeten the drink.

  5. 5

    Add Rum

Measure out 2 oz of white rum and pour it into the glass.

  6. 6

    Add Ice

Fill the glass with ice cubes, packing them in to keep the drink cold.

  7. 7

    Top with Club Soda

Pour 4 oz of club soda over the ice-filled glass to give it a refreshing fizz.

  8. 8

    Garnish and Serve

Garnish your mojito with a sprig of mint and serve with a straw. Enjoy your refreshing beverage!
