Preparation

  1. 1

    Wash and Prepare Romaine Lettuce

Rinse the romaine lettuce under cold water to remove any dirt or grit. Shake off excess water and pat dry with a clean kitchen towel. Tear the lettuce into bite-sized pieces and place them in a large salad bowl.

  2. 2

    Grate Parmesan Cheese

Using a box grater or a food processor, grate the parmesan cheese until you have about half a cup. Set aside.

  3. 3

    Measure Croutons

Measure out one cup of croutons. You can use store-bought croutons or make your own by toasting cubes of bread in the oven.

  4. 4

    Measure Dressing

Pour half a cup of Caesar dressing into a small bowl or measuring cup.

Assembly

  1. 5

    Combine Ingredients

In the bowl with the torn romaine lettuce, add the grated parmesan cheese and croutons. Drizzle the Caesar dressing over the top.

  2. 6

    Toss the Salad

Using tongs or salad servers, gently toss the salad until all the ingredients are evenly coated with the dressing.

  3. 7

    Serve

Serve the Caesar salad immediately in individual bowls or plates. Optionally, you can add more grated parmesan on top or a sprinkle of black pepper.
