Method

Preparation

  1. 1

    Prepare the Bread

Preheat your grill or grill pan over medium heat. Slice the baguette into 1/2-inch thick slices.

  2. 2

    Grill the Bread

Brush each side of the baguette slices with olive oil. Grill the slices for about 2-3 minutes on each side, or until grill marks appear and the bread is crispy.

Topping Preparation

  1. 3

    Prepare the Tomato Mixture

Chop the tomatoes into small cubes and place them in a bowl. Add the minced garlic, chopped fresh basil leaves, olive oil (2 tablespoons), salt, and black pepper. Mix well to combine all the ingredients.

  2. 4

    Prepare the Mozzarella

Slice the mozzarella cheese into thin rounds or small cubes, depending on your preference.

Assembly

  1. 5

    Assemble the Bruschetta

Take the grilled bread slices and top each slice generously with the tomato mixture. Add a piece of mozzarella cheese on top of the tomato mixture.

Serving

  1. 6

    Serve

Drizzle the remaining olive oil over the assembled bruschetta and serve immediately while the bread is warm.
