Prepare the Shrimp
In a bowl, season the peeled and deveined shrimp with salt and black pepper. Set aside.

Prepare the Filet Mignon
Season the filet mignon pieces generously with salt and black pepper on both sides.

Cook the Filet Mignon
In a large skillet over medium-high heat, melt 2 tablespoons of butter. Add the seasoned filet mignon and sear for about 4-5 minutes on each side for medium-rare, or until desired doneness is reached. Remove from skillet and let rest.

Cook the Shrimp
In the same skillet, add another tablespoon of butter. Add the minced garlic and chopped shallots, sauté for 2-3 minutes until fragrant. Add the seasoned shrimp and cook for 2-3 minutes until they turn pink and are cooked through. Remove shrimp from skillet and set aside.

Prepare the Brandy Sauce
In the same skillet, carefully add the brandy, scraping up any browned bits from the bottom. Let it simmer for 2 minutes. Stir in the heavy cream and let the sauce reduce for about 5 minutes. Season with additional salt and black pepper to taste.
