Preparation
- 1
Prepare the Chicken
Rinse the chicken pieces under cold water and pat them dry with paper towels. Season the chicken generously with salt, black pepper, and paprika. Set aside for about 15 minutes to absorb the flavors.
- 2
Prepare the Garlic
Peel the garlic cloves and lightly crush them with the side of a knife or a garlic press. This will release more flavor during cooking.
Cooking
- 3
Sear the Chicken
In a large skillet or frying pan, heat the olive oil over medium-high heat. Once hot, add the chicken pieces skin-side down. Sear the chicken for about 5-7 minutes until golden brown. Flip the pieces and cook for an additional 5 minutes.
- 4
Add Garlic
Reduce the heat to medium and add the crushed garlic cloves to the skillet. Cook for about 2 minutes, stirring frequently to prevent the garlic from burning.
- 5
Deglaze the Pan
Pour in the white wine to deglaze the pan, scraping up any browned bits from the bottom with a wooden spoon. Allow the wine to simmer for about 2 minutes.
- 6
Add Chicken Broth
Add the chicken broth to the skillet, stirring to combine. Bring the mixture to a simmer.
- 7
Simmer
Cover the skillet and reduce the heat to low. Let the chicken simmer for about 30-35 minutes, or until the chicken is fully cooked and tender.
