Mushrooms

Garlic Sauce

Method

Preparation

  1. 1

    Clean and Slice Mushrooms

Clean the fresh mushrooms by wiping them with a damp cloth to remove any dirt. Slice them evenly to ensure they cook uniformly.

  2. 2

    Mince Garlic

Peel and mince the garlic cloves finely. Set aside.

  3. 3

    Chop Parsley

Finely chop the fresh parsley and set aside for garnish.

Cooking

  1. 4

    Heat Olive Oil

In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat until it shimmers.

  2. 5

    Sauté Garlic

Add the minced garlic to the skillet and sauté for about 1 minute, or until fragrant. Be careful not to let it burn.

  3. 6

    Add Mushrooms

Add the sliced mushrooms to the skillet and stir well to coat them in the garlic oil.

  4. 7

    Season and Cook

Sprinkle the red pepper flakes, salt, and black pepper over the mushrooms. Cook for about 5-7 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the mushrooms are tender and browned.

  5. 8

    Finish with Parsley

Remove the skillet from heat and stir in the chopped parsley. Adjust seasoning if needed.

Serving

  1. 9

    Serve Warm

Transfer the Champiñones al Ajillo to a serving dish and enjoy warm as a tapa or side dish.
