Cooking Instructions

  1. 1

    Prepare the Pasta

Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add the elbow macaroni and cook until al dente, according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.

  2. 2

    Make the Cheese Sauce

In a large saucepan over medium heat, melt the butter. Add the flour and whisk continuously for about 2 minutes to create a roux. Gradually pour in the heavy cream, whisking until smooth. Continue to cook until the mixture thickens.

  3. 3

    Add Cheese

Reduce the heat to low and add the white cheddar and smoked gouda, stirring until melted and smooth. Season with creole seasoning, salt, and black pepper to taste.

  4. 4

    Combine Ingredients

Fold in the cooked macaroni, blue lump crab meat, diced avocado, and crumbled bacon until well combined.

  5. 5

    Bake

Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Transfer the mac 'n cheese mixture into a greased baking dish. Sprinkle with Parmesan-Reggiano and additional creole crisps on top. Bake for 20-25 minutes, or until the top is golden and bubbly.

  6. 6

    Serve

Remove from the oven and let cool for a few minutes before serving. Enjoy your crab mac 'n cheese!
