Preparation Instructions

  1. 1

    Prepare the Ingredients

Start by slicing the okra into 1/2 inch pieces. Set aside.

  2. 2

    Set Up the Breading Station

In one bowl, place the all-purpose flour mixed with salt and black pepper. In a second bowl, add the beaten eggs. In a third bowl, combine the cornmeal with some additional salt and pepper to taste.

  3. 3

    Bread the Okra

Dip each piece of okra first into the flour, then into the eggs, and finally coat it with cornmeal. Ensure all pieces are well-coated.

  4. 4

    Fry the Okra

In a large skillet, heat the vegetable oil over medium-high heat. Once hot, carefully add the breaded okra in batches, frying until golden brown, about 3-4 minutes per side. Remove and drain on paper towels.

  5. 5

    Toss in Buffalo Sauce

Once the okra is fried, place it in a large bowl and pour the Crystal Buffalo sauce over it. Toss well to coat all the pieces.

  6. 6

    Serve

Serve the Buffalo okra hot with bleu cheese dressing on the side for dipping.
