Preparing the Coffee

Brew the Coffee
Brew 1 cup of strong espresso or coffee and let it cool to room temperature.

Stir in 1 tablespoon of granulated sugar into the cooled coffee until dissolved.
Making the Cream Mixture

Prepare the Egg Yolks
In a mixing bowl, whisk together 3 egg yolks and 2 tablespoons of granulated sugar until the mixture becomes pale and creamy.

Incorporate Mascarpone
Add 8 oz of mascarpone cheese to the egg yolk mixture and mix until smooth and well combined.

Whip the Heavy Cream
In another bowl, whip 1 cup of heavy cream with 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract until stiff peaks form.

Combine Mixtures
Gently fold the whipped cream into the mascarpone mixture until fully incorporated.
Assembling the Tiramisu

Dip the Ladyfingers
Quickly dip 24 ladyfinger cookies into the sweetened coffee, ensuring they are soaked but not soggy.

In a rectangular dish, layer half of the dipped ladyfingers, followed by half of the mascarpone cream mixture. Repeat the layers.

Cover the dish with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 4 hours or overnight for best results.
