Seasoning and Cooking Ingredients
Preparation
1. Prepare the Chicken
Cut the chicken breast into bite-sized pieces and season with salt and black pepper.
2. Prepare the Mushrooms
Clean the mushrooms and slice them thinly.
3. Prepare the Prosciutto
Chop the prosciutto into small strips or pieces.
Cooking
4. Sauté the Chicken
In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium-high heat. Add the seasoned chicken pieces and cook until browned and cooked through, about 5-7 minutes. Remove from the skillet and set aside.
5. Cook the Mushrooms and Garlic
In the same skillet, add the minced garlic and sliced mushrooms. Sauté until the mushrooms are tender and browned, about 5-6 minutes.
6. Combine Ingredients
Return the cooked chicken to the skillet. Add the chopped prosciutto and pour in the Marsala wine. Stir well to combine all ingredients.
7. Simmer
Reduce the heat to low and let the mixture simmer for about 5 minutes, allowing the flavors to meld and the sauce to slightly thicken.
8. Add Cheese
Sprinkle the shredded smoked mozzarella over the chicken mixture. Cover the skillet and let it cook for another 2-3 minutes until the cheese is melted.
9. Garnish and Serve
Once the cheese is melted, remove from heat, garnish with chopped fresh parsley, and serve hot.
