Cooking Directions

  1. 1

    Prepare the Steaks

Remove the prime ribeye steaks from the refrigerator and let them come to room temperature for about 30 minutes. Pat them dry with a paper towel.

  2. 2

    Season the Steaks

Generously season both sides of the steaks with kosher salt and freshly ground black pepper. Ensure an even coating.

  3. 3

    Preheat the Pan

In a large cast-iron skillet, heat the olive oil over medium-high heat until shimmering.

  4. 4

    Sear the Steaks

Add the steaks to the hot skillet and sear for 4-5 minutes without moving them. Flip the steaks and sear the other side for an additional 4-5 minutes for medium-rare.

  5. 5

    Add Flavors

During the last minute of cooking, add the garlic cloves and rosemary to the pan. Then, add the butter and spoon the melted butter over the steaks.

  6. 6

    Rest the Steaks

Remove the steaks from the skillet and let them rest for 5-10 minutes before slicing.

  7. 7

    Serve

Slice the steaks against the grain and serve with the pan juices drizzled over the top.
