Method

Cake Preparation

  1. 1

    Preheat Oven

Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).

  2. 2

    Mix Dry Ingredients

In a large bowl, whisk together the all-purpose flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt until well combined.

  3. 3

    Beat Eggs

In a separate bowl, beat the eggs until light and fluffy, about 2-3 minutes.

  4. 4

    Combine Mixtures

Add the milk and vanilla extract to the beaten eggs, then slowly pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients, mixing until just combined.

  5. 5

    Bake Cake

Pour the batter into a greased 9x13 inch baking dish. Bake for 25-30 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.

Milk Mixture

  1. 6

    Mix Milks

In a medium bowl, whisk together the sweetened condensed milk, evaporated milk, and whole milk until smooth.

  2. 7

    Soak Cake

Once the cake is baked and cooled for about 10 minutes, poke holes all over the top of the cake with a fork. Pour the milk mixture evenly over the top, allowing it to soak in.

Topping Preparation

  1. 8

    Whip Cream

In a mixing bowl, combine the heavy cream, sugar, and vanilla extract. Whip with an electric mixer until soft peaks form.

  2. 9

    Top the Cake

Spread the whipped cream mixture evenly over the soaked cake.

Serving

  1. 10

    Chill and Serve

Refrigerate the cake for at least 2 hours before serving to allow the milks to soak in. Serve chilled and enjoy!
