Preparation

  1. 1

    Marinate the Steak

In a bowl, combine olive oil, chili powder, cumin, garlic powder, salt, black pepper, and lime juice. Mix well to form a marinade.

  2. 2

    Prepare the Steak

Add the flank steak to the marinade, ensuring it's fully coated. Cover and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes, or up to 2 hours for more flavor.

  3. 3

    Slice the Vegetables

While the steak is marinating, slice the bell peppers and onion into thin strips and set aside.

Cooking

  1. 4

    Cook the Steak

Heat a large skillet or grill over medium-high heat. Remove the steak from the marinade and cook for about 5-7 minutes on each side, or until desired doneness is reached. Remove from heat and let it rest for 5 minutes before slicing.

  2. 5

    Sauté the Vegetables

In the same skillet, add the sliced peppers and onions. Sauté for about 5-7 minutes until they are softened and slightly charred.

  3. 6

    Assemble the Fajitas

Slice the rested steak against the grain into thin strips. Serve the steak and sautéed vegetables on warm tortillas. Add any additional toppings as desired.
