Cooking Instructions
- 1
Prepare the Cabbage
In a large skillet, cook the bacon over medium heat until crispy. Remove the bacon and crumble it. In the remaining bacon grease, add the chopped cabbage, salt, and pepper. Cook until the cabbage is tender, about 10 minutes. Stir in the crumbled bacon.
- 2
Make the Creamed Corn
In a saucepan, combine the sweet corn and heavy cream. Simmer over low heat, stirring occasionally, until the corn is tender and the mixture has thickened slightly, about 10 minutes. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
- 3
Cook the Pork Chops
Season the pork chops with salt and pepper. In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium-high heat. Add the pork chops and sear on both sides until golden brown and cooked through, about 4-5 minutes per side. Remove from heat.
- 4
Prepare the Whiskey Thyme Honey Glaze
In a small bowl, whisk together the whiskey, honey, and fresh thyme. Drizzle over the cooked pork chops before serving.
- 5
Serve
Plate the pork chops alongside generous servings of creamed corn and bacon braised cabbage. Drizzle the whiskey thyme honey glaze over the pork chops.
