Method

Steak Preparation

  1. 1

    Season the Steak

Rub the Prime New York Strip Steak with olive oil, salt, and black pepper. Let it sit at room temperature for 30 minutes.

  2. 2

    Cook the Steak

Preheat a grill or skillet over high heat. Sear the steak for 4-5 minutes on each side for medium-rare, or until desired doneness. Let it rest for 5 minutes before slicing.

Potato Gratin Preparation

  1. 3

    Prepare the Gratin

Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C). In a greased baking dish, layer the sliced potatoes, seasoning each layer with salt, pepper, and minced garlic. Pour the heavy cream over the top and sprinkle with Gruyere and Parmesan cheese.

  2. 4

    Bake

Cover with foil and bake for 45 minutes. Remove the foil and bake for an additional 15 minutes until golden and bubbly.

Roasted Carrots Preparation

  1. 5

    Prepare the Carrots

Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C). Toss the carrot sticks with olive oil, salt, black pepper, and honey in a bowl.

  2. 6

    Roast

Spread the carrots on a baking sheet and roast for 25-30 minutes until tender and caramelized.

Mustard Mushroom Sauce Preparation

  1. 7

    Cook the Mushrooms

In a skillet, melt the butter over medium heat. Add the sliced mushrooms and minced garlic, cooking until the mushrooms are browned.

  2. 8

    Add Sauce Ingredients

Stir in the Dijon mustard and heavy cream. Season with salt and black pepper to taste. Simmer for 5 minutes until slightly thickened.
