Preparation Instructions

  1. 1

    Caramelize the Onions

Slice the onions thinly. In a skillet, melt the butter over medium heat. Add the onions and cook, stirring occasionally, for about 20-25 minutes or until they are golden brown and caramelized. Remove from heat and set aside.

  2. 2

    Cook the Bacon

In another skillet, cook the bacon over medium heat until crispy. Remove from the skillet, crumble, and set aside.

  3. 3

    Prepare the Tomatoes

Chop the tomatoes into small pieces and set aside.

  4. 4

    Assemble the Wedges

Cut each romaine head into quarters. Arrange the wedges on a serving plate. Top each wedge with caramelized onions, crumbled bacon, chopped tomatoes, and blue cheese.

  5. 5

    Finish with Dressing

Drizzle blue cheese dressing over the top of the wedges and serve immediately.
