2. Brown the Meats
In a large pot, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the ground beef and hot sausage, cooking until browned. Drain excess fat.
3. Sauté Vegetables
Add the chopped onion and garlic to the pot, cooking until softened, about 5 minutes.
4. Combine Ingredients
Stir in the diced tomatoes, green chilies, beer, chili powder, cumin, salt, and pepper. Mix well.
5. Simmer the Chili
Bring the mixture to a boil, then reduce heat to low. Cover and let it simmer for at least 1 hour, stirring occasionally.
