Beef Burgundy Filling

Method

Cooking Instructions

  1. 1

    Brown the Beef

In a large pot, heat olive oil over medium-high heat. Add the beef chuck pieces and brown on all sides. Remove the beef and set aside.

  2. 2

    Sauté Vegetables

In the same pot, add the chopped onion, minced garlic, diced carrots, and sliced mushrooms. Sauté until the onions are translucent.

  3. 3

    Simmer with Wine

Return the beef to the pot. Pour in the red wine and beef broth, stirring to combine. Add the chopped green beans, rosemary, salt, and pepper. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat to low and simmer for about 1.5 hours, or until the beef is tender.

  4. 4

    Prepare the Pie

Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C). Transfer the beef mixture into a pie dish. Roll out the pie crust and cover the filling, sealing the edges. Cut slits in the top crust for steam to escape.

  5. 5

    Bake

Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes or until the crust is golden brown. Let cool for a few minutes before serving.
