Meat Filling

Method

Prepare Taco Shells

  1. 1

    Heat the Taco Shells

Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Place the taco shells on a baking sheet and heat in the oven for about 5-7 minutes until warm and slightly crispy.

Cook Meat Filling

  1. 2

    Cook the Meat

In a large skillet over medium heat, add the ground beef or chicken. Cook for about 5-7 minutes, breaking it apart with a spatula until browned and cooked through.

  2. 3

    Add Seasoning

Stir in the taco seasoning and water. Mix well to combine, ensuring the meat is evenly coated. Simmer for an additional 5 minutes, stirring occasionally until the mixture thickens.

Assemble Tacos

  1. 4

    Fill Taco Shells

Once the meat is cooked, take the warm taco shells and fill each with an equal portion of the meat mixture.

  2. 5

    Add Toppings

Top each taco with shredded lettuce, diced tomatoes, shredded cheese, sour cream, sliced jalapeños, and chopped cilantro as desired.
