Nacho Preparation Instructions

  1. 1

    Cook the Ground Beef

In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the ground beef and cook until browned, breaking it apart with a spatula, about 6-8 minutes.

  2. 2

    Season the Beef

Once the beef is browned, drain excess fat if necessary. Add salt, black pepper, and chili powder to the beef. Stir to combine and cook for an additional 2 minutes.

  3. 3

    Prepare the Queso

In a separate saucepan, heat the queso cheese over low heat, stirring frequently until melted and smooth.

  4. 4

    Combine Ingredients

On a large serving platter or baking sheet, spread out the tortilla chips. Spoon the seasoned ground beef evenly over the chips, followed by drizzling the melted queso cheese on top.

  5. 5

    Top with Cheddar and Jalapeños

Sprinkle the cheddar cheese and jalapeños over the beef and queso layers.

  6. 6

    Bake the Nachos

Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Place the nachos on a baking sheet and bake for 10-15 minutes, or until the cheddar cheese is melted and bubbly.

  7. 7

    Garnish and Serve

Remove the nachos from the oven and garnish with sour cream and green onions. Serve immediately while hot.
