Method

Preparation

  1. 1

    Marinate the Steak and Shrimp

In a bowl, whisk together olive oil, minced garlic, chopped rosemary, lemon juice, salt, and black pepper to create the marinade. Place the sirloin steak and shrimp in a resealable plastic bag or shallow dish and pour the marinade over them. Seal the bag or cover the dish and let it marinate in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes or up to 2 hours.

  2. 2

    Prepare the Potatoes

While the meat marinates, place the halved baby potatoes in a pot of salted water. Bring to a boil and cook for about 15-20 minutes, or until tender. Drain and set aside.

  3. 3

    Prepare the Asparagus

In a separate pot, bring water to a boil. Add the trimmed asparagus and blanch for about 2-3 minutes until bright green and tender-crisp. Drain and set aside.

Cooking

  1. 4

    Cook the Steak

Preheat a grill or skillet over medium-high heat. Remove the steak from the marinade and cook for about 5-7 minutes per side for medium-rare, adjusting time according to your preferred doneness. Once cooked, let it rest for 5 minutes before slicing.

  2. 5

    Cook the Shrimp

In the same skillet or on the grill, add the marinated shrimp and cook for about 2-3 minutes on each side until they turn pink and opaque. Remove from heat and set aside.

  3. 6

    Sauté the Potatoes and Asparagus

In the skillet used for the shrimp, melt butter over medium heat. Add the cooked baby potatoes and sauté for about 5 minutes until golden brown. Add the blanched asparagus and sauté for another 2-3 minutes. Season with salt and pepper to taste. Sprinkle with fresh parsley before serving.
