Method

Cooking the Meat

  1. 1

    Brown the Ground Beef

In a large skillet over medium heat, add the ground beef. Cook for about 7-10 minutes, breaking it apart with a spatula until fully cooked and no longer pink.

  2. 2

    Drain Excess Fat

Once the beef is cooked, drain any excess fat from the skillet and return to medium heat.

Preparing the Cheese

  1. 3

    Melt the Queso

In a separate saucepan over low heat, add the queso cheese. Stir occasionally until it’s fully melted and smooth.

  2. 4

    Mix in Cheddar Cheese

Once the queso is melted, stir in the cheddar cheese until it is also melted and combined with the queso.

Assembling the Nachos

  1. 5

    Layer the Tortilla Chips

On a large serving platter or baking sheet, spread out the tortilla chips evenly.

  2. 6

    Add the Beef

Evenly distribute the cooked ground beef over the tortilla chips.

  3. 7

    Pour the Cheese Sauce

Drizzle the melted cheese mixture over the beef and chips, ensuring coverage.

  4. 8

    Add Toppings

Top the nachos with sour cream, sliced jalapeños, and chopped green onions as desired.

Serving

  1. 9

    Serve Immediately

Serve the nachos warm, and enjoy with your favorite dipping sauces!
