For the Crab Cakes

For the Dipping Sauce

Method

Preparing the Crab Cakes

  1. 1

    Mix Ingredients

In a large bowl, combine the crab meat, bread crumbs, mayonnaise, Dijon mustard, Worcestershire sauce, green onion, beaten egg, parsley, salt, black pepper, and Old Bay seasoning. Mix until well combined.

  2. 2

    Form Cakes

Using your hands, form the mixture into small balls or patties, about 1.5 inches in diameter. Place them on a plate or baking sheet.

  3. 3

    Chill

Cover the formed crab cakes with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes to help them hold their shape.

Cooking the Crab Cakes

  1. 4

    Heat Oil

In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Ensure the oil is hot but not smoking.

  2. 5

    Cook Crab Cakes

Carefully place the crab cakes in the skillet, making sure not to overcrowd the pan. Cook for about 3-4 minutes on each side or until golden brown and cooked through.

  3. 6

    Drain

Once cooked, transfer the crab cakes to a paper towel-lined plate to drain excess oil.

Making the Dipping Sauce

  1. 7

    Combine Ingredients

In a small bowl, mix together mayonnaise, Dijon mustard, lemon juice, and hot sauce until smooth.

  2. 8

    Serve

Serve the crab cake bites warm with the dipping sauce on the side.
