Method

Burrito Preparation

  1. 1

    Prepare the Steak

In a bowl, combine flank steak, olive oil, salt, and black pepper. Let it marinate for at least 30 minutes.

  2. 2

    Grill the Onions

Slice the onion into thin strips. Heat a grill pan over medium heat and add a little olive oil. Grill the onions until they are softened and slightly charred, about 5-7 minutes.

  3. 3

    Cook the Steak

In the same grill pan, cook the marinated flank steak for about 4-5 minutes on each side or until it reaches your desired doneness. Remove from heat, let it rest for a few minutes, then slice thinly.

  4. 4

    Assemble the Burrito

On a large tortilla, layer cooked rice, grilled onions, sliced steak, and chopped cilantro. Fold the sides of the tortilla over the filling, then roll from the bottom to enclose the filling. Repeat with the second tortilla.

Black Beans Preparation

  1. 5

    Heat the Black Beans

In a small saucepan, combine canned black beans, minced garlic, cumin, chili powder, and salt. Heat over medium heat until warmed through, about 5-7 minutes, stirring occasionally.
