Burrito Filling

Beans Verde Cheese Dip

Method

Burrito Preparation

  1. 1

    Prepare the Steak

Heat 1 tablespoon of olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Season the beef steak with salt and pepper. Once the oil is hot, add the steak and cook for about 4-5 minutes on each side for medium-rare, or until desired doneness. Remove from heat and let rest before slicing.

  2. 2

    Grill the Onions

In the same skillet, add another tablespoon of olive oil. Slice the yellow onion and cook in the skillet until caramelized and tender, about 5-7 minutes.

  3. 3

    Assemble the Burrito

Slice the rested steak into thin strips. On a large tortilla, layer the cooked rice, sliced steak, grilled onions, and chopped cilantro. Roll the tortilla tightly to form a burrito.

Beans Verde Cheese Dip Preparation

  1. 4

    Prepare the Dip

In a small pot, combine the black beans, verde salsa, and cream cheese over medium heat. Stir until the cream cheese is melted and the mixture is creamy. Add cumin, salt, and pepper to taste.

  2. 5

    Finish the Dip

Once heated through, stir in the shredded cheese until melted. Remove from heat.
