Method

Feta Bites Preparation

  1. 1

    Prepare the Feta

Cut the Maplebrook Farm feta cheese into 1-inch cubes and set aside.

  2. 2

    Set Up Breading Station

In three separate bowls, place all-purpose flour, beaten egg, and a mixture of black and white sesame seeds combined with breadcrumbs.

  3. 3

    Bread the Feta

Dredge each feta cube in flour, dip it in the beaten egg, and then roll it in the sesame seed and breadcrumb mixture until fully coated.

  4. 4

    Heat the Oil

In a large skillet, heat vegetable oil over medium heat until hot, about 350°F (175°C).

  5. 5

    Fry the Feta Bites

Carefully add the breaded feta cubes to the hot oil in batches, frying them for 2-3 minutes until golden brown. Remove with a slotted spoon and place on paper towels to drain.

Yogurt Tzatziki Preparation

  1. 6

    Combine Ingredients

In a mixing bowl, combine Greek yogurt, grated cucumber, minced garlic, lemon juice, chopped dill, salt, and black pepper.

  2. 7

    Mix Well

Stir the mixture until well combined and creamy. Adjust seasoning to taste.

  3. 8

    Chill

Cover the tzatziki and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes to let flavors meld.

Finishing Touches

  1. 9

    Plate the Dish

On a large serving platter, arrange the fried feta bites.

Drizzle Eric's farm honey and basil oil over the feta bites. Sprinkle with Aleppo pepper for an extra kick.

  3. 11

    Serve with Tzatziki

Serve the feta bites warm alongside the chilled yogurt tzatziki for dipping.
